Items we cannot carry
None of the following is accepted for transport. Please check your goods against this list before arranging a shipment.
Explosives
Fireworks, ammunition and hazardous materials. Not accepted.
Illegal or restricted goods
Illegal drugs, and anything prohibited or restricted under Malaysian law. Not accepted.
Live animals
Pets, insects and other living creatures; exotic pets are never accepted. Where carriage is agreed, it is at the sender’s own risk — we are not responsible for injury or death in transit.
Items prone to melting
Ice cream, gelato and anything else that melts, softens or degrades easily. These are affected by temperature change in transit, and suitable insulated packaging is the sender’s responsibility.
High-value items
Jewellery, precious metals or stones, luxury watches and other high-value goods. Not accepted.
Alcohol
Liquor, beer, wine and spirits, plus toddy (palm wine), tuak (rice wine) and other fermented drinks. Not accepted without a valid excise permit.
It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that goods handed over are not prohibited or restricted by law. Blue Box reserves the right to refuse any item that poses a safety, legal or operational risk.
Items that need special packing
We carry all of these, but the packing is yours to get right. We are not liable for damage caused by improper packing.
Fragile items
Glassware, ceramics, mirrors and antiques. Bubble wrap is required on every fragile item.
Documents
Legal, financial and confidential documents. Waterproof packing is required — inside a cold lorry, documents can be exposed to condensation as the temperature changes.
Temperature-sensitive food
Chocolate, cream cake, shabu-shabu meat slices and tofu. Use insulated packing appropriate to the product.
Medicine
Prescription medicine, vaccines, insulin and other pharmaceutical products. Declare the temperature range and use validated cold chain packing; we are not liable for loss of efficacy caused by improper packing.
